Lanzarote is one of the seven Canary Islands, the most visited region in Spain after Catalonia. All of
which are located in the Atlantic Ocean off the North West coast of Morocco. Lanzarote is the eastern
most link in this chain and has been owned by the Spanish crown since the early 15th century. Today,
tourism is the island´s lifeblood. And every year some 1.5 million visitors arrive at Arrecife airport.
Heading for one of the three main resorts of Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise or Playa Blanca.

The island has been welcoming visitors for over forty years and as a result accommodation standards
are high. There are over 200 hotels to choose from, as well as a wide selection of luxurious villas in Lanzarote. Many of which can be booked direct with the owners from prices as low as €500 per week.

There´s loads to see and do on the island for those who want to do more than just laze by the pool.
Lanzarote is home to a host of natural attractions and wonders, most notably the Timanfaya National
Park, which was created by eruptions during the 18th and 19th centuries. This is an absolute must see as
the scenery here is simply out of this world.
